This is a spectacular vintage, totally operational, blue enamel copperclad kitchen stove. Early 1900 origin. It has two warming ovens and water reservoir. It is in excellent, pristine really. No blemishes of any kind. It was purchased from the original owner in Scotland, South Dakota. I had the stove electrified by a licensed electrician in Yankton, South Dakota. It involved two burners and the oven and they can be easily reversed with the original parts which I have.

THE TOP OF THE STOVE HAS TWO BURNERS AND THE REMAINING CAST IRON TOP NEXT TO THE BURNERS WAS USED AS A GRIDDLE. THE ORIGINAL OWNER TOLD ME THE STOVE WAS A WEDDING PRESENT TO HER AND HER HUSBAND. WHEN THEIR SON MARRIED THEY LIVED ON THE FARM WITH MOM AND POP. IT WAS CORN PICKING TIME AND AFTER CHORES WERE DONE IN THE MORNING, BEFORE DAYLIGHT, THE DAUGHTER-IN-LAW WOULD FIRE UP THE STOVE, MAKING COFFEE ON ONE OF THE COB/WOOD BURNERS AND MAKE PANCAKES ON THE GRIDDLE. AFTER BREAKFAST MOM, POP, SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW WOULD HITCH UP TWO TEAMS OF HORSES AND SPEND THE DAY PICKING CORN. YES, THEY ATE COLD PANCAKES WITH HONEY FOR LUNCH WHILE IN THE FIELD.
IN 1979 WHEN THE STOVED WAS ADVERTISED AT AUCTION, I STOOD BY THE STOVE FROM NINE A. M. UNTIL FOUR FIFTEEN WHEN IT WAS OFFERED UP FOR SALE. A NUMBER OF PEOPLE HAD COMPLAINED TO THE OWNER THAT I WOULD NOT LET ANYONE TOUCH THE STOVE. SHE CAME AND ASKED Me WHY, “I SAID, BECAUSE I AM GOING TO BUY THE STOVE AND I DID NOT WANT ANYONE TO TOUCH THE STOVE AND POSSIBLY BREAK ANY OF ITS PARTS. AS YOU MIGHT IMAGINE, I PAID DEARLY FOR THE STOVE, BUT I AM HAPPY TO SAY IT IS STILL IN PERFECT CONDITION. J
FOR A PERIOD OF TIME WE USED THE STOVE IN OUR CABIN ON THE MISSOURI RIVER IN RUNNING WATER, SOUTH DAKOTA. WHEN MY WIFE AND I RETIRED WE MOVED TO FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS AND BROUGHT THE STOVE AND ALL OUR ANTIQUES WITH US. THE STOVE HAS BEEN THE CENTER PIECE OF OUR HISTORIC HOME EVER SINCE. THE STOVE IS NOW BEING OFFERED FOR SALE TO SETTLE AN ESTATE.
