The artist cried with delight when we stumbled poorly our thanks and said something I remember still “the greatest reward or honor any artist can receive is seeing others understand and share the feeling he brings to his art, to his performance – no other reward or thanks is necessary”

That one could make a living creating such joy and sorrow and delight in others seemed to me then, and now, a wonderful calling.

That of the artisans to make the instruments for the artists to perform with, is no less.
