This auction is for Every Man His Own Mechanic, by Francis Young, published by Ward Lock & Co. London 1890. This is the 8th Edition and measures 9”x 6” x 2”.

A complete and comprehensive guide to every description of constructive and decorative work that may be done by the amateur artisan at home and in the colonies. In 3 parts, Household carpentry and Joinery; Ornamental and constructive carpentry and Household Building Art and Practice. 860pp going up to 924 of index. This is the revised and enlarged edition and has 850 engravings.

Front and back boards complete, but have been reglued and tape has been applied. Board edges rubbed. The spine is complete, although very rubbed at both ends. Some foxing inside, but most text is clean and clear. All engravings are clean. Page edges grubby, but only as much as expected in an antique book. Overall condition is fair.
