Movie description
The Discovery Channel scored a reality TV hit with this game show for mechanics. Jesse James, who was seen previously on MOTORCYCLE MANIA, hosts the show, and this time he takes his modifying talents to cars rather than bikes. The premise takes a group of contestants and poses a challenge to them: to take an automobile and make it transformable into an entirely different machine; the end product, achieved within 7 days, must resemble a stock car. This season the budget has been increased from $3000 to $5000, and the team is allowed their choice of one part they don't have to pay for. Led each time by the intrepid Jesse, the contestants turn a cop car into a mobile donut shop, a U-Haul into a wrestling ring, and a shopping cart into a rock crawler. Also attempted for a second time is the transformation of a hearse, and this time the gang tries to convert it into a gravedigger. Episodes include "West Coast Clipper," "Mercedes Handicap Car," and "Wheelie Santa Float."
