Here's Sandra Dee and her son Dodd in her dressing room on the set of Rosie! 1967 which starred Rosalind Russell.

Sandra Dee was a pretty blonde whose heyday was the late 1950s and early 1960s. She has 35 acting credits in film and television 1957 - 1994. She died in 2005. She was in the Lana Turner film Imitation Of Life in 1959 and one of her best movies was Gidget 1959. She married singing star Bobby Darrin in 1960 which kept the gossip columnists busy for a few years. She replaced Debbie Reynolds in the Tammy movie franchise with Tammy Tell Me True 1961. By the mid 1960s her film career had mostly fizzled out. Her image as a chaste and wholesome teen idol was mocked in the song "Look At Me, I'm Sandra Dee" in the 1978 movie Grease.

All of the photographs I'm listing are original glossy prints issued by the movie or television studios. They are not modern day copies. The photos come from the estate of Nicola Buzzo in Bluefield, West Virginia. Mr. Buzzo was a photographer and engraver and worked for the local newspaper in Bluefield. He died at age 93 in 2005. He saved 7,000 to 8,000 publicity photos 1950s - 1980s that he used in his work. Many of these photos have the studio or talent agency information paper sheet (snipe) still attached or typed information on the back. Some of them have a sticker attached to the back marking them for use by the Bluefield newspaper compositing room to prepare the photo for publication.
