Up for sale is a beautiful    1909  VDB   Lincoln Cent that is graded MS64  Red by PCGS.   In my opinion it should have graded MS65 or even a 66.

 

I am not a professional grader and the buyer is responsible for judging the photos with their own opinion.

 

Has all the hallmarks for receiving a higher grade.

 

Fields are very lustrous with fine cartwheels.

NOTE: I do not send coins out for grading due to the speculative grading policies and procedures even amongst the top graders. It is too expensive and time consuming for a crap shoot. Even top coin dealers crack open cases and resubmit coins in hopes of receiving a higher grade, and at times, 2 – 3 X’s a higher grade for the exact coin, according to Scott Travers, author of one of the leading coin grading industries insiders books – “How To Make Money In Coins Right Now” . I find by obtaining coins that I get a great deal on, and sharing my good fortune. I can offer clients a fair market value, with a large movement of stock. Much like the mentality of the big retailers, such as WalMart and Best Buy. I offer extrememly large, accurate photos so that you may be the judge in exactly the value that you determine.

 

In 2003 Coin World conducted an investigation of PCGS, NGC and ANACS, three of the leading grading services. In this investigation, several coins were sent to each grading service. In not one single case did the grading services agree on the grade of any given coin, and in some cases the difference in grading was seven points off. It is standard in U.S. numismatics to grade coins on a point-scale from 1 (poor) to 70 (perfect).
