I read this book many many years ago, but the main reason I bought this 2 years ago as I was so taken with how beautiful it was.  I got it in a second hand book shop and it is a 1959 hardback edition with the original dustcover. It was covered in plastic and there is some fraying/slight wear on the original cover but overall it is still in lovely condition and has retained the beautiful colours(the photo's do not do the colours justice). 

I bought it to give as a gift to an ex boyfriend, but we split up and I just kept it.  I think it would be a wonderful gift to any Hemmingway fan for christmas/birthday, or something you could leave out on the coffee/bedside table as the cover is so wonderful. I have just noticed that somebody made very faint , beautifully written in pencil, handwritten comments throughout the book. You could erase them, but I quite like them in there.

If you like this author, please Check out my other items! as I am doing a spring clean out and I am sure you will like the other books I have too.  Why spend hours in a bookstore trying to find a good book....all the books I am listing today are a great read by some of my favourite authors.
