I rolled the dice on a lot purchase of these and I have to say, the Seller did right by me. This unit is in very good cosmetic condition with very few scatches or signs of wear. It looks real nice. 

The screen on this one in good shape and have little wear showing as well. It has good color and brightness and I see no dead pixles on these two. However, I always disclaim in case I missed something. The rest of the plastics look nice too, with a tick of wear showing.  From the "Drivers Seat", this one looks nice.

I replaced the CD drive with a DVD Burner, but the faceplate is missing. It still works fine.

I did a complete wipe of the hard drive and installed everything you need to get started. Java, Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, Office 07, Nero burning software,Power DVD for watching movies and even a couple of "Seek and Find" for fun! I did all of the updates and installed all the proper drivers. You can download one of the many free anti virus programs out there that you prefer. I use PC tools free. Just saying.

There is an XP COA stcker on the bottom and I'm including a home made image disk set, made with a popular program, so you can restore your system. Just in case you run into any "Nasties" or want to upgrade your hard drive. I will include a set of basic instructions on how to do it too! Cool! But please read my OS disclaimer below.

I tested this out and it runs well. The wifi works as it should as do the burner, DVD, and NIC. I did not test the modem, however it installed with no errors. If you use dial up, please tell me at time of purchase. I will install AOL and make sure it gets a connection. I don't do that unless asked, because AOL is a hog. And if you don't use it, why put it in there?

The battery  charged to 100%. I ran the laptop for over 40 minutes [playing a music CD] and there was approx. 40% charge left! I'd call that a working battery! However, I offer no warranty on used batteries.

So there you have it. A nice laptop, ready to go. Not the fastest horse in the barn, but it will get you to town and back just fine. With a little "Giddy Up" to boot! These would make excellent Student laptops. You will be able to do your downloads, e-mail, office work, play some games and they would make a great back up if you main PC goes down.

Warranty? You bet! I offer my standard 14 day REPAIR warranty. That is, if my hardware fails within 14 days, you may send the laptop back for REPAIR. You will pay shipping to me and I will pay shipping back to you. Spillage and droppage are not covered. Data recovery is not offered. I mark all removables to prevent fraud. I reserve the right to exchange the unit for a comparable unit, at my discretion. Although I'm not a large company or seller, I want to give you some protection. This should give you ample time to make sure my units work as stated.

Note: The true owner of the OS, software is unknown, and it should be considered a test version only. You will not be able to register it as your own, and I assume no responsibility for it. It works perfectly, though.
