Painted fused glass pendant RED RIDING HOOD tglas

This is an original hand painted fused glass pendant.

Fusing glass in a kiln at varying and extreme temperatures alters the very nature of the glass. As the heat rises above 1200 degrees F the glass softens, at 1700 degrees F, the glass flows like honey and in between, magic happens. I fuse two layers of glass black and white,this process take approximately 12 hours. Black layer of glass became a frame and white –a canvas for me to paint on. The glass paints I use require 24 hours to set and then the painting is fired onto the glass. This creates a permanent and scratch resistant finish.
Silver plated AANRAKU bail will be attached.
Each painting created by me is One of a Kind and it comes in organza gift pouch, ready to treasure or to bestow.
