This Civil War era issue is fully framed,BEAUTIFUL TRAIN VIGNETTE ,GREEN OVERPRINT TEN with #10 with a full borderline (TEN) visible. The note was hand signed at the bottom, and there is a written serial number in red 7826. No rips, tears,or pinholes all the details are intact with nice reverse.WITH BROWN TEN ON EACH SIDE... These notes are normally found with evidence of heavy circulation as they normally passed thru many hands. You can rarely find one in such great shape. A lot of history this note. IT IS STATED ON THE REVERSE..."Issued under the Act to relieve the State of South Carolina of all liability for its guarantee of the Bonds of the Blue Ridge Railroad Company, by providing for the securing and destruction of the same."

AU condition,the paper is still very crisp and holds up well. No tears, stains, or pinholes. Light colored paper. Clean on both sides. Nicely cut with the borderline visible on all sides. Nice signatures and numbering. A nice looking example of an issue that continues to rise in value. Serial #7826
