RARE AND HARD-TO-FIND RECORDS

FROM CHILE (South America) FOR COLLECTORS WORLDWIDE

ALL OUR RECORDS ARE PLAY TESTED AND THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION

_________________________________________________________

BLACK SABBATH

“PARANOID”

WOW!!! EXTREMELY ULTRARARE and hard-to-find original  swirl Vertigo/Polygram International very first press released in Chile in 1974 and issued by Philips Records, catalog number 6366 106, in green Vertigo labels!!!

The cover is very very thin and fragile, almost a paper, very different to all other issues of the world. In Chile the cover is simply a paper folded in 2 parts inside a plastic bag to keep both sides joined, and it’s in NM or NM- condition, no marks, no missing parts, no bends, it’s almost really perfect, “almost” because in the back cover it has a name written. The record is in superb VG or VG+ condition, glossy, clean, with light hairlines and some light scratches which doesn’t affect sound. Labels on both sides are in NM condition, absolutely clean and clear but in both sides it’s the same name someone wrote, in Side 1 only the initials and in Side 2 the name. The sound is in strong VG or VG+ condition (most of the songs play in EX or EX+ condition), loud, clear and clean, only light surface noise, normal in records from Chile, and crackles and soft pops here and there, mostly at the beginning of each Side, which don’t distract from the great sound of this record (I guess this record should be cleaned with a vacuum machine). Side 2 has a light skip at the beginning of the first song. Overall a fabulous record with still a great and nice look and sound quality after 35 years. As I told before, I'm sure the sound can even get better with a deep cleaning with a vacuum machine.

Well, original swirl Vertigo first press of BLACK SABBATH’s “PARANOID” sure it’s a great find in any condition but this copy is really a must to have. In Chile we had to wait until 1974 to see this album released but we got it with an UNIQUE different cover, already described, a green Vertigo label and a different Vertigo catalog number!!! Yes Sirs, vey first Chilean press got an UNIQUE Vertigo catalog number!!! WHAT A FIND!!!

Please check this link: http://www.vertigoswirl.com/vertigochi.html

The A-Side label is identical with British release but in this Chilean issue it’s written “Side A” in second white circle and not “Lado 1” as written in the label. But the real rarity of this original Chilean very first press is the different Vertigo catalog number. We don’t know the reason for this, but in Chile the original catalog number, 6360 011, was deleted!!! In Chile this record was released using the original British Vertigo masters but they deleted the original Vertigo catalog on the Matrix!!! Yes, in Side A they overwrote “xxxx” on the original Vertigo catalog number and hand-etched the new catalog number “6366 106” (!!!)… And more about this, it’s clearly written “6360 11” in the upper right corner of the back cover, which’s the correct catalog number. However, they glued a little bit of paper with the new Chilean catalog number to hide the original one. The little paper says “STEREO 6366 106” (see the picture). This little paper with the new catalog number is so extremely rare and hard-to-find that it’s almost impossible to find because it was so small and so bad glued that most of them were missed… But, we got it for you!!!... This is a must to have for all fans and collectors, we have never seen before this original Chilean Vertigo’s Black Sabbath’s Paranoid” first press complete with this little paper in a so great condition and this is the chance to get it now… tomorrow it could be too late because you could never seen it again…

Yes, yes, yes... This is the REAL FIND, an original very first press released exclussively in Chile in 1974, with an UNIQUE COVER, an UNIQUE CATALOG NUMBER, it's in great condition and IT'S COMPLETE, with the impossible to find little paper with the UNIQUE CATALOG NUMBER (originally glued on back cover to hide the original Vertigo catalog number)

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so BID NOW and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again…

Thanks for bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

PayPal (send me a message if you offer some other way to pay that we can accept)

Payment must be received within the first 7 seven days after the auction is ended

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide: US$20 for 1 12” LP or US$30 for 1 12" LP in gatefold cover, and US$12 for 1 7” record. If you buy more than 2 records and need to know the shipping price, ask us before to bid. All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover. All records are shipped with tracking number.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I can declare the record as gift if you want.
