Included are Mario Piu's indispensable "Communication (Somebody Answer The Phone)," the Artful Dodger's "Re-Rewind (The Crowd Say Bo Selecta)," Wamdue Project's "King Of My Castle," Phats & Small's "Tonite," the Boy Wunda's "Everybody" (that Madonna one) and Alice Deejay's horrifically catchy "Back In My Life." Not the trainspotter's idea of fun, maybe, but this will put the perk into any party, and keep the kids uplifted till bedtime. Donning our reading specs, the DJs named in the small print are St. Peter and Heaven. Here the DJs take second place to the tunes but, unusually for a compilation package of this nature, this collection is quite competently mixed. The beat-matching and overall sense of a musical journey are on a par with mixes by the likes of Brandon Block and Jeremy Healey. A good, fun knees-up, then, sporting a nice line in playful house and well mixed to boot. | |
