CORK RING SLICING AND INLAY JIG

Same great quality but new design.  I have added the slicing tool on the back side, and made it where you can slice 1/8'' shims without having to put a washer in first.  This custom made jig is made by a Master Machinist.  The tool is made of T-6 Aluminum and should last for years.  You can use Cork Rings 1 1/4'' O.D., or EVA.  You can make the regular style checkerboard accents or you can cut a wedge out of the center of a piece and glue back a wedge of another color and then make slices to make another type of checkerboard accents.  There is a lot more you can do with this tool if you can think of it.  AND the best thing about my type of jig, you don't need an expensive saw and blades that will break all the time.  You can use a standard small hobby saw that you can purchase at you local hardware or hobby shop.  Another great point is when you get this jig, you are ready to start to work, not like some of the other jigs on the market, you have to build another jig or fixture just to be able to use them.  I use this jig in a small bench vice that most of you already have.  Another great point to make is the fact that, this style jig is a lot easier to use in a vice because of the shape, and also you will have a more flater surface to lay your saw, and that will make a more uniform cut.  If you enjoy building something different, you are going to love this tool.  I would love to see some pictures of the different handles that have been built with my jigs, so good luck and good fishing.
