| THIS IS A CHILD'S CHINA TEA SET. UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS PROBABLY, PLAYED WITH & ONLY 18 PIECES HAVE SURVIVED UNCHIPPED. ALSO, ANOTHER 2 CUP S & A PLATE WITH SMALL CHIPS. IT IS WHITE WITH A LAVENDER FLOWER, I WOULD SAY IS A PANSY. THE STEMS & LEAVES ARE GOLD. THE CUPS ARE 2 1/4" TALL, WITH SLIGHTLY RUFFLED BOTTOMS. THERE ARE ONLY 2 GOOD CUPS, & 2 WITH A CHIP OR CRACK & 1 WITH A BLACK SPOT ON THE INSIDE BOTTOM. THE 4 SAUCERS ARE 4 1/2" ACROSS. THE EDGES ARE GOLD AND THERE IS A GOLD LINE AROUND WHERE THE CUP INDENTATION IS. THERE IS NO DECORATION ON THE SAUCERS. THERE ARE 5 PLATES WITH GOLD TRIM & A LAVANDER PANSY WITH VINES & LEAVES. THEY ARE 5 1/4' ACROSS. THE SUGAR BOWL & THE COVER ARE 4" TALL. ON THE FRONT THERE IS A FULL LAVANDER PANSY & 3 BUDS, THE LEAVES & VINES ARE GOLD. ON THE BACK IS A SINGLE GOLD LEAF. THERE IS GOLD TRIM ON THE HANDLES & AROUND THE TOP RIMS. THE TEA POT IS 6 1/4" TALL THERE IS GOLD TRIM ON THE HANDLE & THE TOP KNOB & AROUND THE SPOUT, & THE TOP OF THE TEA POT & BOTTOM OF THE COVER. IT ALSO HAS A LAVANDER PANSY WITH GOLD LEAVES & VINES. THERE IS A GOLD LEAF ON THE BACK. I WOULD SAY IT IS FROM THE FORTIES OR EARLIER. I CAN REMEMBER HAVING TEA PARTIES WITH A CHINA SET. PLASTIC TEA SETS WERE GAINING POPULARITY BY THE MIDDLE & LATE FORTIES. THE GOLD IS IN GOOD CONDITION FOR THE MOST PART. THERE ARE NO MARKS. THANK YOU FOR LOOKING.
