Condition/Description: This 300 CHIPCO Pro-Tech chip set is in brand new condition, the chips have never been used. With this 300 chip set you can choose how many White $1 chips, Red $5 chips, Green $25 chips and Black $100 chips you would like once you are the winning bidder.

These are the exact same CHIPCO chips found in hundreds of casinos worldwide. They weigh in at a hefty 10 grams each. Please note that a REAL casino chip weighs between 9 and 10 grams, they do not weigh 8 or 11.5 or 13 or 16 grams. Don't be fooled by ALL the crappy chips out on the market today. Most of the heavier ones are just plastic molded around a washer to give them weight. For the most part they look cheap, they don't stack well and most importantly they won't hold up after years of play. These beautiful, ceramic CHIPCO chips will last for your entire lifetime.

The story behind the chips: These chips are the result of a botched custom chip order. In November '04 an order was placed for 8,000 chips through our company, homepokerchips.com. The artwork was finished, approved and sent off to production. About two weeks into production the order was abruptly cancelled when the funding of the chips fell through for the buyer. I called Chipco and asked to cancel the order... too late, the edges had already been printed. The faces were still blank but the edges were complete with spots and denominations. At this point I was entirely 100% responsible for the purchase of these 8,000 chips in four colors and four denominations that I could not change.

I was completely bummed but since there was no looking back I had the art department come up with new artwork for the faces. Why Newcastle Resort and Casino you ask? No particular reason except that I was back in the Philadelphia area for the Christmas holidays and had dinner at a family member's home who lived in Newcastle, Delaware. Seemed like a decent name for a new Las Vegas casino so I went with it.

Fast forward and I have 8,000 chips delivered to me. For close to two years now I've been looking at this pile of racks and chips trying to figure out a game plan to get rid of them. EBay seems like the way. Once the 8,000 chips are gone they will not be remade.
