Introducing the Morris Stephen Bennett Signature Model! This one is made to Stephen's specifications, including the Engelmann Spruce top which has a custom voicing unique to this guitar. The Indian Rosewood back is curved and X-braced, which allows for greater projection and bolder tone. The nut width and scale are custom, also (1-23/32" and 25-3/4", respectively).
This luthier-made instrument features a rare paduak wood rosette inlay, koa bindings, maple purflings and Stephen Bennett's signature inlayed in paua on the 12th fret. Plays and sounds exquisite!
The unique "X Bracing" Back: Back braces are normally positioned perpendicular to the strings, reducing some vibration. To eliminate this effect while maintaining the flexibility of the wood, Morris employs a similar "diffused" "X Bracing" structure on the round back, allowing it to vibrate like the top, providing a complete, rich, rounded sound.
A gently arching back successfully enhances overall musical quality, yielding real differences in increased volume, powerful sound, and longer sustains. This featured "Round Back" is rounded both vertically and horizontally, providing a sound unique to Morris guitars.
This Stephen Bennett Model comes shipped in a hard shell case. This guitar is new and it comes the Morris warranty.
