This is a softcover copy of The Adventures of Tommy by H. G. Wells, published in 1935 by The Artists and Writers Guild, New York. Wells, of course, is best known as one of the fathers of science fiction. This is a children's book that Wells wrote and illustrated in 1898, when he was sick in bed for a several weeks. The book is in generally good condition. There are some stains and wear to the front cover (see scan); however, the rest of the book is nice. There is a previous owner's name written in ink on the inside front cover. An entertaining bedtime story with charming illustrations, this book provides a different view of one of the twentieth century's major figures.
