ADORABLE 1930's Arranbee R&B 19" Composition Nancy

Hi There, Nancy!

Nancy was an all composition doll manufactured by the Arranbee (R&B) Doll Company from the 1930's to the early 1940's. This little girl is an outstanding example of a 1930's Nancy! She is wearing a lovely peach taffeta dress which is trimmed in dainty lace at the neckline and on the puffed sleeves. Lovely lace also trims the bodice and the front of the gathered dress skirt, forming an adorable pinafore effect. This dress closes at the back with a snap at the neck, and ties beginning at the side seams reach to the back waist in a beautiful bow. I am not sure this dress is original to this doll, but it is definately vintage, well made, fits her beautifully and is in outstanding condition. There are a couple of very tiny age spots (not photographable) but no holes, rips or tears. Under her dress Nancy wears what appear to be her original white panties. On her feet, her original socks and original oilcloth shoes with the original ties.

This little girl is in outstanding condition. She has a small slit (about 1/4 inch) in the elbow bend of her right arm, and a bit of composition disturbance on the part of her left arm that enters the body cavity. It cannot be seen unless her arm is pulled away from the socket. I looks to me as if her composition may have been touched up a little on her torso and her arms; if this is so, a beautiful job was done. Her face has not been touched; there is an extremely small amount of VERY faint crazing here, and as you can see from the photographs this is hardly noticeable. Her features are gorgeous; she has lovely red lips, six small teeth and her red felt tongue still in place. Her coloring is beautiful, and she has stunning brown eyes with all her natural brush lashes. Her brows & painted lower lashes are lovely, and she still retains some of her original light gray eye shadow. I have replaced her wig with a blonde human hair wig styled in typical "Nancy fashion", with curls falling softly at her shoulders tied with a large ivory satin ribbon.

And where would a little girl be without her teddy??? Nancy carries her white mohair-like teddy bear everywhere she goes!
