Meade Cometseeker Model 277 Refractor Telescope

     


Description

Up for auction is my Meade Model 277 Cometseeker Refracting Telescope. Fantastic Japanese short focal ratio 60mm. F5, 300mm FL. in great condition. I bought this a few years ago to just enjoy the views through this little refractor. Quality, virtually no color for an acro. 1-1/4" focuser. About the best view of the Andromeda Galaxy I've had was through this scope. At F5 with a 32mm plossl the whole galaxy is in the field, and with the small 60mm objective the center was not bright enough to wash out the outer perimeter. Standard 1/4" photo tripod mount on bottom. Prism diagonal shows views right side up but switched left for right, not a bad little birder/spotter either. Does not include the 6x30 finderscope but everything else is included (see picture). Telescope, Prism and 25mm eyepiece.

Enjoy the night sky with a starter telescope for a great price. All you need is just a tripod and I even can email you the Manual once you purchase it.
