Old School BMX TITRON / HUTCH Mini Pedals - SUPER RARE

DESCRIPTION: 1st Generation TITRON / HUTCH BMX Mini Pedals with 9/16" 6AL-4V titanium mini spindles and authorized pattern reproduction HUTCH Mini cages.

HISTORY: I have been collecting vintage BMX bicycles and components for over 10 years now and I have never seen a pair of these pedals in any collection much less being offered for sale. Production of these extremely rare 1st Generation TITRON / HUTCH Mini pedals was limited to less than 20 sets in the early 1980s and most were given to factory riders. Now for the first time in nearly 27 years the last few remaining sets of mini pedals are being offered for sale. The pedal bodies and spindles were manufactured in 1982 during a period when TITRON Titanium Components was an OEM for HUTCH BMX. These pedal parts were left incomplete and unassembled after HUTCH purchased TITRON and moved all manufacturing in-house in Baltimore, MD. The TITRON / HUTCH Mini Pedal was very short-lived as the HUTCH branded bear trap pedal were launched shortly thereafter in 1983. Unfortunately the pedals are being offered with new HUTCH Mini cages because there was no remaining stock of NOS mini cages. The cages have not been highly polished so the option is yours to polish them or have them anodized.
