You're bidding on another one of our National Geographic maps. It is in mint condition. It has only been opened once to take the pictures you see below. Some of our oldest maps and magazines are unique pieces of collection.

As seen in the May 2003 issue of National Geographic Magazine, this 2-sided map and poster celebrates the 50th anniversary of Sir Edmund Hillary’s ascent to the summit of Mt. Everest.

Side 1 is a stunning “picture” of Mt. Everest, showing ascent paths of Sir Edmund Hillary in 1953, James Whittacker in 1963 and the Chinese expedition, which became the first to the summit from the North side in 1960.

Side 2 is a map of Sagarmatha National Park and the surrounding area. It provides information about the Sherpas and their way of life, including special locations with images of the landscape and wildlife. Inset maps detail the growth in visitors to the region, and 3-D models show a bird’s eye view of the routes taken by climber’s of Everest.

International Shipping and Payment Instructions

I welcome International Bidders and I would accept Paypal and other forms of payment. Shipping is airmail via the US Post Office. Shipping is $4.00 for the first map, $1.50 for each additional map, up to $12.00, at which point I can mail up to 15 maps using Global Priority Mail at no additional cost. We recommend that you inquire about shipping charge before bidding.

Shipping to Canada is only $3.50 for the first map plus $1.00 for each additional map.

For countries that have Global Priority Shipping option, I could ship up to 15 maps for $12.00.

Refund:

I will gladly refund or exchange your product if its quality doesn't meet your satisfaction. Item must be returned within 7 days.
