Murphy Bed Cabinet "Only" Do-It-Yourself- Kits

This is a plywood 16 inch deep Murphy Bed Cabinet Kit. This includes everything but the "Metal Frame"  sold seperatly.

Everything is predrilled and cut and edge banded so all you need is some tools and some time. This cabinet is real easy to put together compared to the Panel beds. It takes me about 30 minutes to assemble and install the cabinet "only". It has eight Blum Concealed 170 degree clip on hinges. This means you can take the doors off and on without a screw driver. The plates are screwed to the vertical panels. The Birch and Oak  plywood is cabinet grade, I pick the best sides for the front of the cabinet. The Maple and Cherry are "A" grade and I still pick the best sides for the front. I also offer top and bottom trim 3/4 X 3 1/4 by the width of the cabinet. It is offered in solid wood for $100.00 or edge banded plywood for $65.00. This becomes a kind of kick board and it gives it a nice finishing touch. I also offer recessed lights for $120.00 these are two 3 1/4 inch Black or Brass recessed into the upper header. It comes with a high quality on/off switch mounted in the headboard. I also offer a floating headboard and a 20 inch deep cabinet for additional cost. Crown moulding is also available.  Please call for quotes on these extra items. 

The mattress should be less than 11 inches thick on the 16 inch deep cabinets.

Traditional style means 1/3- 2/3 trim attached to the front face.You pick out  trim at your local lumber yard.

Understanding Blum Concealed Hinges:

Clip top hinges for frameless and face frame construction. Because of appearance, function and six-way independent adjustability European concealed  hinges are now the standard for cabinet doors. Blum's clip top hinge design also gives the added advantage of easy door attachment and removal.   

• With Spiral-Tech depth adjustment, just one and three quarter revolutions of the screw create 5mm of adjustment without loosening and retightening a fixed screw.
• Side adjustment is a flush screwheads that allows 4mm of adjustment. It also has an integral stop and prevents removal.
• Height adjustment is accomplished on the mounting plate with a range of +/- 2mm
