Aurora Optima Silver Fountain Pen

This is from the Aurora Argento Massiccio Jewelry Collection. This pen, produced in a Barley pattern,was described as the flagship of the Aurora fleet, and for good reason. This pen design has gone through a series of subtle changes since its inception in 1930. The version shown here, with an 18K solid gold Medium nib and Greek key design around the cap band, unites the best of tradition and change.  This makes the Optima one of the most intensely and carefully designed pens in the world. It also features a piston refilling system with a hidden reservoir mechanism. The pen comes with its original papers in a black velveteen presentation box, all contained in an attractive gold-colored cardboard exterior box.  It would make a wonderful gift for the holidays, or be a terrific addition to any well-rounded pen collection!
