 Why buy a down comforter?

Down comforters are made up of down clusters that are light, fluffy filaments that expand and intertwine to form air pockets. These clusters trap air, a natural insulator. That's what makes down so warm and light.

Since down "breathes," it naturally regulates warmth and draws away moisture.

What is Fill Power?

Down from large, mature birds offer more insulating power and a better ability to loft. These features are reflected in a down's fill power which measures the volume an ounce of down takes up. The higher the fill power, the better the insulating ability of the down & more warmth with much less weight.

There are five types of down with varying fill powers. Your choice will depend on the climate, season and your sleeping preference.

Good
Most affordable down choice. 500-550 Fill Power Down provides soft, light warmth.

Better
Preferred for its large clusters and high loft, 500-550 Fill Power Goose Down provides superior warmth yet still lightweight.

Best
A higher-quality goose down with plump and resilient down clusters. 600-650 Fill Power Goose Down provides exceptional loft and warmth.

Supreme
Outstanding white goose down with the largest, most resilient clusters. 600-650 Fill Power Hungarian White Goose Down provides maximum warmth with minimal weight.

Ultimate
The most luxurious of down from select cold climate geese. 700-800 Fill Power Hungarian White Goose Down provides the warmest level with the lightest weight.

What is Baffling?

Baffles are vertical interior walls of fabric along the stitching line. Baffling gives down more room to fully loft. Baffles are made to ensure that the down won't shift.

What is Supersize?

A Supersize comforter is cut 4” wider and 10” longer on a Queen size compared to a Traditional size, with a generous 15” drop. This is ideal for deep or pillow-top mattresses. These comforters are 8” longer on Queen and 10” longer on supersize King.

What is the right warmth level for me?

Here are some general guidelines:

Super Light Comfort - for warm climates, summer, or if you prefer a room temperature 74°F or above.

Light Comfort - for warmer seasons and climates, or when the room is 69°F to 74°F.

Medium Warmth - a good year 'round choice or if you keep the room at 65°F to 69°F.

Extra Warmth - a cozy choice from late fall to early spring and for rooms kept between 62°F to 65°F.

Ultra Warmth - for people who love toasty warmth during cold winters or if the room temperature is below 62°F.

How do I care for and clean my down comforter and pillows?

If your comforter or pillow appears a bit flat or wrinkles when you unpack it, simply shake it vigorously or fluff it in your dryer on LOW.

Air your new comforter or pillow out of direct sunlight, for a day or two before using for the first time and then every 3 to 6 months thereafter.

Comforter Cleaning: Hand wash or machine wash you’re down comforter separately, in a large tumble washer. Use WARM water and mild detergent on DELICATE (do not bleach). Made sure it's thoroughly rinsed before drying on LOW in a large-capacity dryer. You may need to gently steam the fabric shell of your comforter to remove stubborn wrinkles but NEVER IRON. If you prefer, have your down comforter professionally dry cleaned.

Pillow Cleaning: Dry clean only. Be sure to take your down and feather pillow to a reputable dry cleaner experienced in down cleaning. Do not machine wash or dry clean in a do-it-yourself cleaner.

FAQ’s

Handling Fees:

If you are coming to our warehouse to pick an item up there will be a $5.00-$15.00 handling fee depending on the size of the item. (Most items are $5.00).

If you are purchasing CD’s, the shipping fee is $3.00.

Shipping

Items will be shipped within 5 business days of RECEIPT OF PAYMENT. We ship items out usually on Wednesdays or Fridays.

We typically use FedEx or USPS for all of our shipping and the cost will be a flat rate quoted for each item. The exceptions would be shipping to Canada or international.

International Shipping

We ship to the Continental US and Canada only!! Although our listings indicate no international shipping, if you are bidding from Canada, please e-mail us for a quote.

Payment

Payment is due immediately following the end of the auction. If payment is not made within 5 calendar days, you will be reported to eBay and the item will be relisted. Please contact us immediately if there is any reason why payment cannot be made within the 5 days.

Payment by PayPal is preferred.

Sales Tax

New York State law requires us to collect 8.75% sales tax on all purchases made by New York State Residents only. This is calculated on the final cost of the item including the shipping and handling charge.

Combined Shipping

As every situation is unique, please contact us regarding combination of shipping charges on multiple items.

We DO NOT combine shipping for CD’s.

Returns

We must be contacted within 7 business days of receipt of an item to discuss returns. Generally, returns for money back will only be accepted it an item is not as described in the listing. The buyer is responsible for the return shipping charges.

We buy truckloads of items at a volume discount. This is how we can afford to provide you with these amazing prices! Most of our items have been returned to the original company for a number of reasons. We try inspect every item thoroughly before it is listed, if there is a defect of any kind, we make note in each listing. If we have missed anything, we assure you it is not intentional. We try to be as honest as possible in our listings. We are just as unhappy with returns as you are!

We also have some items that are brand new and may have been overstock or discontinued.
