GO SET 60' MUSIC MAG-GLEN SHORROCK, RONNIE BURNS,JOHNNY YOUNG...! Measuring approximately 45cm's long and 30 cm wide. In this edition of Go Set (June 26, 1968 - Volume 3 number 26) the magazine offers up articles on The Australian Music Scene (are we original, a question we're still asking!) Stones, Hendrix and Cream-will they be touring? Johhny Young, Glen Shorrock, Ronnie Burns, Johnny Sands pin up and much much more! General condition is pretty solid, some pages are a little tatty which don't effect the reading. For those who don't know, Go Set was Australia's premier music magazine in the 60's and early 70's. It was our version of NME or Rolling Stone. It also featured some of the best writers of the time who later became huge TV personalities like Ian Molly Meldrum (Countdown ABC TV), Donnie Sutherland (2KY Radio, Sounds Unlimited Channel 7) just to name two. This magazine featured the best of overseas Music but more importantly it supported the Aussie Music scene which was just blossoming into an industry! These street magazines are quite rare and you don't see them pop up at all these days. They feature exclusive interviews that have never appeared in any other publications so you are bidding on something quite unique. I'll be placing my collection of these magazines on the bay over the next few weeks, I have over 100 editions in total to put up so please do come back to take a look at my new listings!
