THREE VOLUMES   of

C.J.S. Purdy's Fine Art Of Chess Annotation And Other Thoughts (C.J.S. Purdy Gold Chess Series)

These are all BRAND NEW books.  Volume One is particularly hard to find and sought after.  Purdy is one of the best instructional chess writers ever to produce training information for improving one's chess skills.  You won't go wrong with any of the Purdy books.  This is your chance to own THE FIRST THREE VOLUMES of the series.  NOTE that the stock picture in the Gallery is only of Volume 3, but all Three volumes are included in this sale.  The other volumes look very similar to this cover with different volume numbers and background color.

Product Description
A collection of annotated games from Purdy's previous publications. The first 25 games are world championship games. The next 25 are grandmasters in conflict while the last 50 are master-level combat from his friends Down Under.

If you have not read over games the Purdy has annotated, you are in for a wonderful treat. Who better to analyze games than the world's first correspondence chess champion?

Purdy’s self-annotations on his own games provide deep insight into his thoughts, plans and strategies, and explain everything crystal clearly. Unlike others, Purdy not only goes through his fine wins, but his losses too, and compliments his opponent when credit is due. He thoroughly examines positions in an easy to understand way, so everyone can see the master’s ideas.

Dr.Tykodi has carefully compiled and edited a collection of C.J.S.Purdy’s games, and as a result has created  books with only the best. He has gone through all of Purdy’s articles, picked the most interesting games, and compiled them all into four books.

In addition to these games, Tykodi has included some articles to help improve the reader’s understanding of both basic and advanced ideas.

Instructive for almost any caliber player, from novice to expert, this book is a must have for not just people who have read any of the volumes, but for anyone interested in greatly improving their chess ability in an easy and constructive manner.

About the Author
International Master C.J.S. Purdy was born in Australia and was the world's first Correspondence Chess Champion, and author of many chess periodicals from the 1930s to the 1970s. Ex-chess champion Bobby Fischer called Purdy the best teacher on chess.

Purdy was a teaching genius, an original thinker, explorer and discoverer. He wrote about chess' best games, its best players, and was not averse to disagreeing with established 'authority'.
