This book of Chess Stars series presents the games of Alexander Alekhine. The fourth World Champion had a unique style, combining beautiful tactical blows with an implacable technique. In his games the striking combinations crowned a sound strategy, based on a perfect knowledge of the chess theory. Alekhine invented a whole range of new opening lines and the system 1.e4 Nf6 was named after him.

Edited by former FIDE world champion Alexander Khalifman this collection contains  games played by Alexander Alekhine between 1923 and 1934. Informator-style annotations of games, tournament crosstables, and contributions from Oleg Biriukov, IM Vladimir Ivanov, IM Sergei Klimov, Ilja Manankov. This is the second of a  three-volume set  {see my other listings where I am selling volumes 1 & 3 also }, to contain more than 1,300 of Alekhine's match and tournament games.
