Up for auction is this beautiful vintage "Lyon & Healy" mouthpiece.  I'm unsure of its exact age.  Silver or silver plated, and quite heavy...retaining a terrific aged, distressed patina.  I played trombone and a youth, and it appears to be about that size...but any assistance on instrument and age would be appreciated, as always.  I don't see a size number or any other markings besides the L & H mark shown...unless I'm overlooking it.  It rings like crystal when tapped.  No significant dents.  No cracks or repairs.  Mouth opening is approximately 1 7/16" (37mm) diameter and length is approximately 2 15/16" (75mm).  I found it in a vintage Herco mouthpiece pouch, which is included.  Zipper is intact and functional, but some stitching on the zipper is partially missing.  Clean smelling with no musty odor.
