Item Description:

Inspired from Sam Raimi's modern horror film "Darkman", we present scientist Peyton Westlake as the Darkman. This movie was based on a short story Sam wrote which pays homage to the Universal horror film's of the 1930's & was released on August 24th, 1990.
The artists of the Sideshow Collectibles Design & Development Team in collaboration with Universal Studios, have once again created another iconic film character from the depth's of the Sideshow Laboratory as a Premium Format Figure. Our unlikely Hero is expertly captured in a threatening pose, daring anyone to cross him!
As the story unfolds, Scientist Peyton Westlake is obsessed with the development of a new type of synthetic skin to aid burn victims. It's only flaw is that it only remains intact in darkness & rapidly disintegrates after 99 minutes in sunlight. Meanwhile his girlfriend, attorney Julie Hastings, comes upon an incriminating document proving corrupt developer Louis Strack Jr. & mobster Robert G. Durant have been bribing members of the zoning commission. In search of the document, Durant & his thugs pay a visit to Westlake's Laboratory. They torture & disfigure Peyton, leaving him for dead, and blow up the Laboratory to leave their message. He somehow survives his ordeal, but is hideously burned and is subjected to a radical treatment in which nerves to the pain centers of the brain are destroyed. Removing this sensory input gives him increased strength due to adrenal overload which keeps his injuries from incapacitating him. The bad side is it destabilizes his moods & mental state. Peyton escapes from the hospital & rebuilds enough of his lab equipment to make synthetic skin to cover his own hideous visage. Using Masks of the synthetic material to hide in the shadows, he fights against the evils of Durant's gang while fighting his own dark & violent tendencies. He can only appear briefly in public during daylight, so he otherwise uses bandages to cover his face. Intent on exacting his revenge, Peyton Westlake takes on the guise of the masked crime fighter known as Darkman.
The Darkman mixed media statue is hand cast in high quality polystone and hand painted to exacting standards which Sideshow is famous for. He's outfitted in real fabric clothing, completed with his signature floor length layered trenchcoat & leather wide rimmed hat. His dimensions are 17"H X 12"W X 11"D overall & weighs approximately 15 lbs. boxed. *This Sideshow Exclusive version features two Darkman heads, one baring his hideously disfigured face, while the other is bandaged to hide his gruesome visage.
This Goulish Statue is produced in a super low limited edition of only 125 pieces worldwide & long Sold Out at Sideshow. This is our very *Last One, so do not fail in your attempt to capture this Masked Marauder before he strikes again!
The Darkman Statue is in brand new, mint condition, packed in his original shipping box. *This particular Sideshow Figure does not come with an art box. His brown shipping box bears his trademark. He comes directly from the manufacturer's Laboratory warehouse without price stickers and minor shipping wear.

Some items due to their size and weight can not be combined.
For all US buyers, if your purchased items are damaged or lost during shipment, we will send all necessary documentation to file a claim with the specified carrier(UPS). *Shipping & Insurance charges are not refundable.
