I am back with more of this magnificent silver collection. I can not afford to keep everything. For sale here is another very rare late 19th c, early 20th c sterling silver cross.  It is stamped with the letter Y.  I believe this cross, collected by Carl Moon, was probably originally from the Fort Yates School in North Dakota, given to the Native American children forced to attend there.  Several of them are pictured in the book of Carl Moon's collection and life entitled "In Search of the Wild Indian" by T. Driebe.  I will list others, if this one sells. The cross is one of the smaller ones pictured, measuring about 1 and 3/8 inches long by almost 3/4 inches at widest. It appears to have never been polished and has decorative raised ridges. Carl Moon amassed quite a collection while travelling through the West, photographing Native Americans at the very beginning of the 20thc.  Please see my other listings for more of this collection and other antique Native American items.  Thank you.
