OFFERED IS AN ORIGINAL HUGH, HANGING STREET TYPE VINYL BANNER THAT HUNG AT SHEA STADIUM IN NEW YORK. THIS HUGH BANNER, IS AN 8'x2' RENDITION OF FORMER METS' PITCHER GLENDON RUSCH. THESE BANNERS ARE "ONE-OF-A-KIND" AND HUNG IN THE ENTRANCE WAYS, VAULTED LOBBY, AND FAN TRAFFIC WALK AREAS AT SHEA STADIUM. THE BANNER WAS ACQUIRED AT THE "LIVE SHEA STADIUM AUCTION" IN JULY 2009 ALONG WITH OVER 100 OTHER SHEA STADIUM PHOTOS & HANGING PICTURES. THIS SCARCE BANNER WAS THE ONLY ONE LEFT THAT HAD NOT BEEN SOLD IN THE METS' ON-LINE AUCTION. THE BANNER HAS THE MLB REGISTERED HOLOGRAM ATTACHED ON THE BOTTOM. RUSCH's CAREER WITH THE METS' LASTED BASICALLY FOR 2 SEASONS 2000-01, AND HE APPEARED WITH THE METS IN THE 2000 WORLD SERIES AGAINST THE NEW YORK YANKEES.

THE SCARCITY OF THIS ITEM MUST BE NOTED !  THERE WERE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF BRICKS, HUNDREDS OF BOX SEAT RAILING NAME PLATES, DOZENS OF FRANKFURTER GRILLS, BEER BINS, SCORECARD VENDOR BOOTHS, & CONCESSION AREA ITEMS.  BUT, THERE WERE ONLY ONE EACH OF THESE PLAYER BANNERS ORIGINALLY MADE TO HANG AT SHEA STADIUM, AND THIS ONE HAS TO DATE TO RUSCH's CAREER BETWEEN 2000-01.

THE CONDITION OF THIS "TOUGH" VINYL STYLE BANNER IS EXCELLENT +++.  THERE IS ONLY A SLIGHT 3" TEAR ALONG ONE THE SEAMS IN THE BOTTOM "LOOP" WHERE THE BANNER HUNG BETWEEN WALL POLES, AND A CLIPPED PART OF THE WIRE THAT HELD THE BANNER IN PLACE. THE QUALITY OF THE BANNER IS GREAT AND SHOWS NO SIGNS OF FADING, STAINS OR OTHER DAMAGE. 

GREAT ITEM TO HAVE AUTOGRAPHED BY RUSCH, IN A NICE BIG BOLD MARKER. GREAT FOR ANY NEW YORK MET, SHEA STADIUM OR GLENDON RUSCH COLLECTOR.
