~*Primitive Folk Art Santa Doll*~
New for Christmas, 2009, is this wonderful, original Santa stump doll, deisgned and created by me. He was crafted from unbleached muslin, which I heavily stained, with a round head, handstitched eyes, separately crafted nose, and a nice full beard felted into place made from premium sheep's wool. His cheeks were lightly pinked using a watercolor pencil, along with his mouth. He has a corncob pipe inserted in his mouth with spanish moss inside for his "tobacco." He wears a stained stocking cap created from a beautiful red fleece, trimmed with warm and natural which has been handstitched to his head.
His robe is also formed from the same stained fleece with warm & natural all handsewn into place . He has rusty bells pinned to the front of his robe, with a black braid belt tied around his waist. Black painted muslin mittens were added to his hands. He measures about 22" in height, and is weighted at the bottom. .
Santa has wire inside his arms to make them a bit more poseable. In one arm, he cradles a stocking crafted from stained flannel print, trimmed with warm & natural. Inside the stocking is sweet annie, pip berry stems, and tiny candy canes formed from pipe cleaners. He also comes with his own toy bag, which is filled with the same items, and is tied with the same stained flannel print as the stocking.
This original design was crafted with lots of loving care and attention to detail. He would make a beautiful addition to any primitive Christmas decor, and would be an especially nice gift for any Santa lover on your list. He will not be reproduced, and will come signed and dated by me on the doll itself, under his robe. He would look beautiful displayed on any old primitive shelf, cupboard, or cabinet, or use him as a centerpiece on any Holiday table.

I ship at least twice weekly and will gladly combine shipping costs on all eligible multiple purchases ending within 5-7 days. Due to the nature of some of my items, combined shipping is not always possible. If in doubt, please ask before bidding. .
