John Player 1934 Album of Film Stars Cigarette Cards

ITEM DESCRIPTION

This auction is for a John Player and Sons set of 1934 Film Stars cigarette cards - second series.  The set contains 50 cards each 1 3/8" x 2 5/8".  The company also issued a special album to hold the cards and it is 7 3/8" wide and 5" tall.  This set is complete with all the cards (listed below).  They have been glued into the album, but can be removed to show the information on the back if you use Goo Gone  or Un Du (both of which will dissolve glue and leave the paper in perfect condition).  The cards in this set are all in near mint condition and the album is in good condition.  I have shown selected pages in the pictures, and there are more here.  This is a very nice set.  This is one set of Player cards I have for sale on eBay today.  See below for additional shipping and handling cost information.  I normally ship priority, but I am listing these to be shipped first class, but will ship priority if you wish.

If you have questions, please email me at Carl or through the ask seller a question.  You are encouraged and urged to send questions regarding sales, payment and shipping policies at least 24 hours before the end of an auction so that I will have time to answer them fully.   However, I prefer direct email since I keep copies for my records and it is easier to keep track of for me.  I will contact you as soon as possible after the sale ends, but we at Antiques and Things are a really small business consisting of me and my wife.  We are both retired and sometimes at our age something comes up that prevents me from getting to email as soon as I would like.  On a normal day I have the computer and email on most if not all of the day, but there are times at our age that health concerns restrict our time and I may on rare occasions miss a day of checking email.  These times are rare, but sense I do all of the mail and web business myself, please understand if I don’t contact you immediately after the end of a sale or even within a day or two.  Thank you for your consideration.

I will combine items for shipping if you buy more than one item. I must have your address within three days of the end of the auction in order to figure the shipping costs.  I will send a request for a confirmed shipping address after the auction before sending an invoice since occasionally a buyer has an item shipped to an address other than the one on eBay. I do not pre-price items for overseas shipment, so if you are considering purchase for overseas contact me for an approximate price.

Buyer pays US Post Office two-day priority shipping (except for small paper items that will fit in an envelope of 8 1/2 by 11 or smaller) in addition to a $1 handling fee and insurance (required on purchases over $50.00) within the U. S. We ship as soon as possible after payment is received - usually the next day.  

Texas buyers must add 8.25% state sales tax.

International Buyers – Please Note:

• Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.

• Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

• These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.

• We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

Return Policy

If there is any problem with what you buy, we will refund your purchase price upon return of the item. We cannot refund shipping costs unless we have shipped the wrong item. That is unlikely if shipping instructions are followed, but can happen with a large volume of shipping.
