How it Works:
The package consists of a receiver unit, a transmitter unit and two AC power adapters. Simply place the receiver unit close to the device (such as a iPod docking station) that you would like to operate. The transmitter can be positioned in any other room where you have the remote.
1) Simply place the receiver (RX) unit 'in front' of the device that you would like to control. We say 'in front' because the Infrared signal needs to reach the Infrared Receptor that is located on the device that you need to control.
'In front', can mean across the room (a clear line of sight is required; it does not mean that you need to be within inches of your devices). The Receiver (RX) unit can placed up to 10 feet away from the device that it needs to control.
2) The transmitter (TX) can be positioned in any other room where you have the remote (or secondary remote). When you press a button on your remote control, you should see a corresponding red flashing light on the front of the transmitter. This red flashing light indicates that you are transmitting a remote command from the Transmitter (TX) to the room where the Receiver (RX) unit is located.
