This book is in very good condition.  The pages are clean and unmarked.  It was printed in 1986 by Pergamon.  136 pages. 

This book has been written from Black's point of view, and for those who like the open game (1e4 e5).  Bernard Cafferty & David Hooper provide adequate replies to all continuations that White might then adopt.

The Petroff's Defence is recommended in this book, having gained popularity in recent years, and played by former World Champions, Kasparov, Karpov, Petrosian, and Smyslov, and by several Candidates including Bronstein, Hubner, Korchnoi, and Portisch.
