Hasselblad clock is a truly rare, exquisite, collector's item.
In the 70's till about the late 80's, Hasselblad,
the state-of-the-art camera manufacturer from Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden,
maintained also the Hasselblad boutique.
It seems that the 'jewel in the crown' of the boutique was the Hasselblad Clock.
It is a genuine Hasselblad 500C/M camera body,
emptied from its operational parts, and instead,
installed with a transparent German-made 'antique type' clock.
It is in a perfectly working condition,
runs flawlessly and operated by a 1.5 Volt Alkaline single battery.
The camera body is placed on what seems to be a wooden base.
This rare collector's item is in 'like-new' condition.
The dimensions of the item are:
height (including base): 5" (inches) / 130 mm
width: 4.2" (inches) / 110 mm
This unique collectible piece came to my possesion as a gift from a friend who was working,
at the time, at Hasselblad in Gothenburg.
It is unknown to me how many "clocks" were made or sold.
Yet, while Googling (also in Yahoo!) to search for "Hasselblad clock",
I couldn't find any trace for it. As if it "never existed".
Simply no trace of such an item.
It was unique at the 70's & 80's, and is even more so these days.
