	1861 First Edition THE YOUNG CLERK Here is an antiquarian, Civil War era hardcover book that would be a fantastic addition to a collection! You are bidding on a scarce, antiquarian ,first edition hardcover book titled The Young Clerk or The Story of Robert Elliott. Published by American Sunday School Union, 1861. Book features red cloth binding with silvr lettering and design. Book has a very cool bookplate in it. The book was presented to Herman Meyer by St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Seventh Street and Montgomery Avenue (Philadelphia?) for reciting perfectly 37 Bible texts during the school year. Dated June 15, '99 (obviously 1899). This is quite a rare book. It would be terrific if this book could find its way back to the relatives of Herman Meyer! Book is in very good-plus to near-fine condition. A tremendous addition to any collection! Great gift idea!
