The problem:

The heat shield on your GE, Hotpoint or Frigidaire dryer has melted and shrunk and probably torn partially loose.  The PC board and controls above the heater are now getting a good dose of heat.  The manufactures do not make a replacement kit for this heat shield and you are now faced with buying a new heating element at $130 or more.  That is why I devised this kit.

 

Included in this kit is:

  • Replacment 1000+ degree heat shield that is approximately the same as what the original was 
  • Better and more secure mounting hardware
  • Screws
  • Step by step instructions with pictures

 What you will need:

  • Diagonal wire cutters
  • Phillips Screwdriver #2
  • Safety Glasses – no instructions could not include safety glasses
  • Drill and 7/16” drill bit – but you probably could use a 1/8” too
  • Some basic technical skills that you probably already possess since you knew you needed this heat shield

 

If you do not like my kit then return it for a full refund.   By keeping the kit you are absolving me from any liability.  Sorry, people are lawsuit crazy these days!

I feel this kit is a very nice replacement to the original heat shield.  If you do not agree, return it and I will replace your original fees including shipping too you.  You will have to pay shipping back to me.  Include information for credit in the returned package.  Thanks!
