I have recieved a lot of questions asking what the difference is between the blue FURminator and the purple FURminator.  They are both 1.75" wide and are exactly the same. They only difference is that they changed the packaging for the purple FURminator to target cats.  The blue FURminator mentions right on the package that it is "for long & short-haired dogs & cats" and "Great for cats too"
