As you can see I have way too many dragon vases so, I am liquidating some of my dragon collection. Up for auction is a pair of green dragon Japanese Cloisonne ginbari vases. The larger one has a cool looking green dragon but lots of issues. The ground color is a darker light blue to a pale blue/white at the bottom. At the top under the rim there is some missing enamel with a repair to stablize the damage. There is also a large section that is missing enamel and is covered with enamel to stabilize the damage on the side next to the dragon's claw - it is about the size of a quarter. To the left of this are 2 long stress lines and one at the bottom. There are also several around the bottom. To the right of the dragon, there is also quite a bit of stress lines going from the dragon's head to the top of his tail. The vase has a six sided hex shape and stands 7 1/4 inches tall. It is unmarked. The little one is marked and also has a green dragon done in what looks like foiling. It makes the dragon "stand" out from the background. The background is a pale purple. This one too has some issues. There is an area to the top left of the dragon's head which has some cracking and discoloration. All the other darken areas are underglaze and you cannot feel them. This one is in much better shape. It is only 3 1/2 inches tall. I have had them displayed with others next to the other set that I have up for auction featuring blue dragons in front so you couldn't see the bottom damage. Hopefully, they will find a good home. Please ask questions and I will try and answer. **Please do not buy or bid unless you read the description first -- I am NOT a professional photographer and I try to be complete in my description! I look at my listings on my computer and I try to match up the descriptions with the pictures. But, colors and resolutions tend to differ from computer to computer. So please READ and ask questions and I will try and help as much as I can. But, if you're not sure please just don't bid. Item is sold "as is". I usually ship items within 24 to 48 hours. Insurance is optional but recommended. I DO combine shipping and I try not to overcharge and will usually offer a partial refund if I am over by more than $2.00. The postage calculator is an estimate. Some items usually combined ones will have a handling fee. I am not out to make money on shipping - just covering costs. Payment is preferred within 7 days. Thanks for looking and good luck! |
