Golf Game Photograph: Medley Vintage Golfing Equipment





 This photo print shows a serious dedication to the equipment, rules, techniques and virtues of The Royal and Ancient Game Of Golf.  It took a serious golfer many years to gather together the many vintage golf items displayed on this large swath of green canvas.

For the beginner, there is an early Spalding Golf Guide from 1930 to explain the technique, form and precision needed to properly play the game, while another venerable tome describes the finer points of Approaching and Putting.

Two classic hickory shafted wood drivers, a vintage iron and putter, all from many seasons past represent the most necessary form of Golf Club - the type used to play the game.  A group of used Gutta Percha and Mesh golf balls must have been rescued early on to remain in such fine condition.   Hopefully those safe inside the box of Armor Golf Balls fared as well.

An old National Amateur Golf Tournament program and a golfing souvenir from Georgetown University plus golf cards dedicated to golfing greats Harold H Hilton and Jack McDermott delve into the seriousness of this collector's fascination for the sport, but it's the classic PGA Press Badge that so distinctly marks his obsession.

And judging from the  antique Loving Cup Trophy plus the smaller silver-plate "Best Form" trophy, he seems to have mastered the art to a serious degree.  But no trophy could hope to compare to the tintype photo of a dedicated foursome, fully decked out with their Tam-O-Shanters, calmly proffering their well worn wooden Woods that captures the camaraderie and satisfaction that this game holds for it's serious aficionados.

If you've decided to decorate your den or office with golfing collectibles, you'd be hard pressed to outdo the ready made collection presented in this custom framed photograph of The Game of Golf.  3" wide custom frame with dark wood finish and dark brown edging.  Includes matching fancy raised dot inset.  Photograph hand textured and mounted under UV protective glass.
