Don Hatfield is one of the most innovative impressionists of our time. His style of painting softly blends figures of realism with the gentle touch of classic Impressionism. Don strives to create paintings that bond themselves to the viewer. In the vein of romantic impressionism, he shows the viewer that beauty can arise from one stirring moment; a family reunion, a young boy searching for shells on the beach, or the warmth of the sun touching a mother and her child.

One of the most prolific impressionists of this century, Don Hatfield's style of painting gently combines the realism with the delicate feel of classic impressionism. Hatfield paints images that invoke memories for the viewer by honing in on his subjects during one specific moment in their lives. His concept and technique are both traditional and his works encapsulate powerful yet at the same time peaceful emotions with glowing and alluring hues. Being an artist was not always Hatfield's aspiration. He believed that his talents lied in other areas including philosophy, theology, and literature. When Hatfield met the renowned artist Charles Cross, he then discovered his ability to paint. Don Hatfield's one of a kind impressionism has earned him great acclaim in the art world.
