This auction is for a small antique Holy Bible that is leather bound.  It measures 5" X 3 1/4".  The leather cover has a flap that comes around and slips inside a leather strap on the front cover.  It has worn gold edges.  There is some staining on the first 40 pages.  The binding of the book is very secure.  There is one page in Revelations that is missing about one fourth of a page.  The opening page reads:  The Holy Bible containing the Old and New Testaments; Translated out of The Original Tongues, and with The Former Translations  Diligently Compared and Revised.  New York American Bible Society Instituted in the year MDCCCXVI  1865.  All the Bible Books are divided by Roman Numerals. The Bible is about 1 1/2" Thick.  This Bible is 144 years old.  Lots of character!  Thanks for looking!
