c1920 HAWKES CUT GLASS & SILVER MARTINI COCKTAIL SHAKER
HUGE SIZE wGORGEOUS GLASS CUTTING & EXCELLENT CONDITION
This is truly an exceptional Martini or Cocktail shaker, certainly one of the best I have ever sold. This beauty has a deeply etched or cut tumbling leaf pattern 3/4 of the way down the glass body, and the top rim and top are Silver, but since we can't find any Sterling marks we will have to assume it is Silver Plate. This is a very large shaker measuring approx. 12" high x 3-1/2" across base x 5" across widest portion, certainly large enough for quite a party. This shaker is of exceptional quality, marked on the Silver portion Hawkes, and it is in incredible condition with no chips, cracks, or residue and next to no age use to the Silver, except inside where it would have been wet, as seen in the third photo. If you collect Hawkes cut glass or Martini / Cocktail shakers this is a must have, or it would make an outstanding Holiday gift.
