Newspaper style magazine that doubled as the programme for the heavyweight fight between Jersey Joe Walcott and Hein Ten Hoff in Mannheim, Germany, on 28 May 1950. Obviously, a rare item. Walcott would win the world heavyweight title a year later. The programme has the whole fight card with scorecards on the centre pages and the issue, which is in both German and English, also has articles on Walcott, Hoff, Walcott's manager Felix Bocchichio and Joe Louis. The issue is also aimed at English-speaking servicemen stationed in Germany at the time, has the title Hello, Service, and has adverts and articles on cars and way of life stuff. Staples intact, magazine is complete with no tears or creases, but does need careful handling to keep it that way. The paper used was not of great quality, as so often happened at this time. 20 pages. Seller ships internationally, buyer pays postage and packing £2.45 in the UK, £3.95 to Europe, £4.95 outside Europe. Buyers in the UK, please pay by using paypal or by cheque/ postal order. Buyers outside the UK, paypal only, please, except by prior agreement.
