There are 3 different ornaments in this auction ~ Popeye Skates; Sweet Pea & Olive Oyl Skates. The boxes have a sticker on the end that has the name of the ornament plus c. King Features Syndicate 1981. I'm not sure what they're made of, but I think it's either a light heavily painted bisque or papier mache. They're very nicely painted. Olive oyl is holding a piece of mistletoe and has a small place on the back of her foot where the paint has sort of bubbled. Sweet Pea is holding a huge candy cane and Popeye has a small Christmas tree. Popeye & SP are both in excellent condition & the only issue with OO is the small foot paint thing. There are no chips, breaks, cracks or other issues. The only flaw other than the mentioned OO one is that the 3 boxes have been taped together in a line. There's no removing the tape without damaging the boxes. Each ornament is about 4.25" tall.
