Offering an authentic AMERICAN made vintage elegant era cobalt blue and crystal keyhole stem glass footed compote, with the deepest color, lovely details and in mint condition! This piece is reference in "The Cambridge Glass CO. 1930-34" based on an old catalog. It is pattern style 3400/28 7" Comport. Also made in clear crystal and Carmen RED, this Cambridge Royal Blue is just magnificent!
Like American Brilliant Period Glass, the innovative glass companies like Cambridge, which was established in 1901 in Ohio, produced dozens of etched patterns making goblets, candlesticks, tableware and luxury glass to rival Pairpoint, Morgantown and other companies.
The top measures almost 8" about 7" 7/8" across, notched tapered square shape, and is about 5" 1/2" tall. The keyhole cut stem, which was used on many other pattern type of Cambridge, mostly found in candlesticks or candle holders and ivy bowls, seems a Cambridge Glass hallmark.
The blue glass is the finest seen, very scarce and rare to find!
The condition is mint, the crystal stem and foot brilliant and reflective, the cobalt blue top absolutely pristine!
THIS IS A GORGEOUS PIECE OF GLASS FOR ELEGANT GLASS AND ANTIQUE GLASS COLLECTORS!
