Up for auction are 15 vintage circa 1940s Boye Highly Polished Stainless Steel Circular Knitting Pins or Circular Knitting Needles. These circular knitting pins are in old paper sleeves. There are more than one knitting pins in most of the sleeves so I don't know which are original to the sleeves. The graphics on the sleeves, front and back, are really interesting. In the images, I have shown each sleeve and the circular knitting needles found in them. I have also included an image of the back of the two different sleeves so you can see the advertising. Although each sleeve is marked with a size, I do not know what the sizes of these knitting needles are but they range from a very tiny one with gold color (maybe brass) points to a large size. On the front of five of the sleeves is printed: "Circular Knitting Pin, Made in U.S.A., Points Locked to Cable by Special Process---Thin Tapered Points Prevent Broken Threads", Pat. No. 1983536, Manufactured by The Boye Needle Company, New York, Chicago, San Francisco". Most of these needles appear to have been used. Some sleeves have writing on the front and these can be seen in the images. One sleeve had a small gold colored aluminum straight knitting needle inside as well and is shown in the image.
