IM8 Fly Rod Blank - Blue - 8 ' - 4 Piece - 4/5 Weight

Up for bid is an IM8 graphite fly rod blank to build your own custom rod (blank only included).  The blank is an 8' (approximate assembled length), 4 Piece, 4/5 Weight rod blank.  You will also receive a divided velvet rod bag to protect your new rod.

The graphite blank is a midnight blue color with a mirror finish, custom ordered direct from the manufacturer to build handcrafted fly rods that I offer from time-to-time.  However, in order to place a custom order I had to purchase a sizable lot of rod blanks.  Since I only build rods as a hobby, there are too many and I'm offering some these blanks to other rod builders at a very low starting bid.  The butt end of the grip section has an outside diameter of .370 of an inch.  Each blank section is not finished to the end and will require a one-half to three-quarter inch ferrule wrap to give the rod a professional finished look.  The tip size is a 4 or 4.5.

I use these same blanks to handcraft the rods I build.  The photo of the blank is a representation and not the actual blank as all are nearly identical.  If you are unhappy with the blank provided in the shipment, I will be happy to exchange it or refund your money (except shipping), but you must return it in an undamaged condition within 30 days of receipt and pay for return shipping.
