Portrait Doll of Owl Joe, Cherokee, HANDCARVED Wood

This patriarch is wonderful.  He's handcarved wood with hinged hip and arm joints. His clothes fit him perfectly and are both machine and handstitched.  You can see two seams on his back to fit his shirt closely to his stooped back.  His flat bare feet allow him to stand on his own.  The cane is whittled so that the top knob won't allow it to slip through his hand.  Unless you turn him upside down to take a picture of his feet like I did.  His hair is heavy cotton thread, braided and glued.  He has a really nice face.  His outfit almost looks like an old Scout uniform.  He has a tiny tag on his hand which reads, 'Owl Joe, Cherokee'.  I'm assuming that is who he represents rather than who carved him.  He looks like an Owl Joe.  He has a reserve because I'm falling in love with him.  Email if you have questions.
